Hisham's passion about education started back when he was at school helping his peers with tutorial homework. This passion seems not to have stopped ever since, as he continues to engage in training and workshop facilitation until this day.
His current engagements include facilitating professional services workshops in the field of business, design thinking and strategy development. He has lectured at different Australian universities in higher and vocational education in accredited and non-accredited courses. His teaching portfolio includes Marketing, Sustainability, Management, Information Technology, Screen & Media and Design.
Hisham is also active in the field of instructional design, including the development of learning frameworks for trainer-led and blended delivery courses. Focussing on learning outcomes, he continuously challenges his own assumptions and regularly reviews different teaching and learning methodologies using traditional and new learning models.

He facilitates industry workshops and programs in the field of Strategy Development, Service Design and Design Thinking. His aim is to always seek a more effective, efficient and mutually satisfying solution. For him, innovative ideas come from a continuous process of questioning the status quo from different perspectives based empathy.
For his achievements, Hisham has been recognised by RMIT University and was awarded a teaching and research award for programs that enhance learning. In particular, he was praised for engaging Information Technology students in practices that foster environmental awareness and responsibility and develop leadership in sustainability. In the same year, he the RMIT-Nominee for the Victorian Trainer Awards. Hisham regularly participates in learning forums and contributes to initiatives focussed on enhancing the learning experience in adult education. He is also a member of many university working groups that look at a holistic approach in learning and teaching design. |
In his free time, he is happy mentoring professionals and young students in their careers.
